Rodney Mullen's TED Talk

Rodney Mullen gave a TED talk at USC about the innovation that can come from different contexts in relation to his experience with skateboarding. People who have never skateboarded would disagree, but skateboarding forces a form of creativity that few if no other sport (if you want to call it a sport) can. The adaptation and manipulation of the environment around you to perform a certain trick requires not only the physical capacity to do so, but the mental capacity to look at an obstacle and imagine something that's never been done before.

ロドニー・ミュレンはサザーンカリフォルニア大学でスケートボードの経験に関係ある何時も変わってる環境からｲﾉﾍﾞｰｼｮﾝが生まれる話題を演説した。スケボーをしたことない人はそう思わないかもしれないのにスケボーというのは他のスポーツ（スポーツというか？）と違う創造力を使わせるのだ。技を決める為に環境を操るアダプテーションに対して体力だけじゃなく回りを見て誰もやってことない技を想像するようにクリエーティビティーが必要なんだ。このビデオは日本語字幕がなくて悔しいけどせめて面白いスケート映像を観れる。。。
